review on STUDY GUIDE

after being utterly discusted with this poor excuse of a study guide, i thought i would read some horrible reviews on the guide to make me feel better. to my dismay, people can't read and they only posted reviews for the text book, which is actually good but those reviews should be posted elsewhere.

You know there is something wrong with this guide when you see them call CH3-CH3 methane (pg 3 not to mention they got linoleic and linolenic mixed up) or on the multiple choice on page 19 has ribosomes as one of the right answers for proteins involved in transcription.

i have not done a lot of the questions in the book and all ready i see errors on every second page. i wonder if i will actually recieve lower grades if i study from this poorly written book.

I love study guides and have used them for stewert's calculus, campbell's biology and bruice's organic chemistry in college. were there some occasional mistakes... yes but overall they were good. this study manual however seems to have been written by a tribe of wild monkeys pounding on a keyboard. Save your 23 dollars

About the Author
Rolf Schmid obtained his PhD in 1970. After post-doctoral studies in France and the USA, he joined the research laboratories of Henkel KGaA in Dsseldorf in 1972 where he became Director of the Biotechnology Laboratories. In 1987, he moved to the 'Gesellschaft fr Biotechnologische Forschung' (GBF) in Braunschweig where he headed the Division of Enzyme Technology and Natural Products Research.
In 1993, he accepted an invitation to build up the newly founded Institute for Technical Biochemistry at the University of Stuttgart. He is further in charge of the Department of Molecular Biotechnology at the Fraunhofer Institute for Membrane Science and Biotechnology in Stuttgart, and he is chairman of the IUPAC Commission of Biotechnology.
Vlada Urlacher is a young researcher and is the head of the Biocatalysis Group at the Institute for Technical Biochemistry at the University of Stuttgart.

This handy book is a wonderful reference for everyone interested in biotechnology and genetic engineering. Each technology is accompanied by easy to understand illustrations and a condensed version of the important numbers, concepts, and processes used in industrial applications. Very useful for academic practitioners in the field of Biotech!

About the Author
I have been writing plays since high school and acting since junior high. In 1988, my first play "Nicolas Brooks" had instant success by winning the Youth Division at the Spokane Civic Theatre Forum Festival in Washington State. The writing bug infected me and I decided to form my own little theatre group in 1989 called Tailors of the Imagination. At 17, I produced and directed an extended version of "Nicolas Brooks" called "Who Loves a Writer" as well as a retelling of Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. In 1990, my play "A Man and His Plant" was produced at the Spokane Civic Theatre Forum Festival in the adult division. The play went on to win third place in a national contest and then was published by the Dramatic Publishing Company as a part of an anthology "Short Stuff for Mature Actors." In New Mexico, I started a theatre group called the Poco Loco Players which have successfully produced four seasons including several plays that I co-wrote with the other Poco Loco Players. I also started the successful website called freedrama.com which has provided free plays to schools and community groups around the world. My 2002 victory as a writer was being included in the Love Creek Production's play festival in New York City. My monologue "Pearls of Wisdom" is the true story of the struggles young women face growing up in rural Idaho. Another success was a 2004 midwest tour of my play "The Redneck" (renamed Operation Redneck) by the professional theatre group Retroact Productions. During this time, freedrama.com became very popular receiving thousands of visitors. My plays on freedrama.com (now freedrama.net) have been performed on every continent including Antarctica. I'm now involved in developing film projects as a writer and producer. In 2008, I started a new series about War Veterans. The series has been featured by Apple iTunes and YouTube. The most successful episode has been "Saving Lives in World War II" which won an Emmy Award in 2009 for best Advanced Media Historical Documentary (Rocky Mountain Region). In 2010, I won a Telly Award for my full length documentary about a wildlife park in Arizona. And in 2011, I won a second Emmy Award for my short documentary about an organization called Paws and Stripes that helps veterans with PTSD using service dogs.

Bought the Kindle edition and I got an error message when I tried to open it. I looked on web forums and tried everything I could, but still can not read the play. Wish I had not paid for this.

About the Author
Kenton J. Falerios was a career Soldier who served in the US Army for 22 years; 14 years would be with the Paratroopers. He enlisted in October 1984 and fought in Operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. He deployed to the Sinai Peninsula as part of the Multinational Force & Observers. He also served with the Stabilization Forces in Bosnia-Herzegovina for Operations Joint Guard and Joint Forge. His other assignments ranged from Germany, Panama, El Salvador, and Fort Bragg. He holds a Master's Degree in Business & Organizational Security Management. He retired from the US Army as the last First Sergeant of the 82nd Military Police Company in October 2006.

Excellent book on the history of the 82nd MP Company. It has alot of good material, great pictures and actual quotes from the people who were there which gives alot of insight as to what it was like. My hat goes off to Kenton Falerios for a job well done!

"Give me something I can't do!"... The motto of the All American MP Company... It's not just a motto... It's a way of life. I am a little biased; in the spirit of full disclosure, I served with Kenton Falerios. Kenton captured the spirit and essence of the 82nd MP Company. If you have spent hours at a TCP on Longstreet and Ardennes during PT hours... Received a "mustard stain" from Panama... Tasted the sand of Sicily drop zone... Or served in any of the major conflicst since WWI; then you have a reason to pick up this book and cherish your history. Thank you Kenton, for documenting the history of the most prestigious MP Company in the US Army. If you are an allium of the 82nd MP Co, you MUST by this book and preserve your history.

Actually being assigned to this unit for almost 9 years, I must say that this book is great! 1SG Kenton Falerios was the last First Sergeant of the unit before deactivation, and I must note that he too, was my First Sergeant. Great stories, photos, and information that would be lost to history if not for his research. I am honored to have one of my situations presented in the book as well. Thomas A. About the Author
Deborah Fish Ragin is a Professor of Psychology at Montclair State University. She is a graduate of Vassar College where she earned an A.B. in Psychology and Hispanic Studies in 1978. She continued her studies of psychology at Harvard University where she earned her M.A. in 1984 and her Ph.D. in 1985. Dr. Ragin served on the faculty of Hunter College at the City University of New York, and on the faculty of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s Department of Emergency Medicine (New York City) where she also holds a position as Adjunct Associate Professor.
