About the Author
Vincent N. Parrillo was born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey. He received his B.S. degree from Seton Hall University, his M.A.from Montclair State University, and his doctorate from Rutgers University. He teaches the following undergraduate courses: Minority Groups in America, Urban Sociology, Sociology of Socialization, Social Problems, Ethnic and Racial Conflict Resolution. Graduate courses include Racial and Ethnic Experiences and Sociology of Intercultural Communication.

So much information in such a small book!!

This book has so much information regarding early American history and the progression of diversity in America. Although it is a history book, it tells you history in an easy-to-understand format.

Tons of information in a small book.

This was a great book that I had to read as part of my sociology class. Most of the book is about trends and addressing the pros/cons of immigration. I definitely learned a lot and it wasn't that long of a read compared to other academic works. I would definitely recommend this book to others if you have the time.

This book was exactly what I wanted and I recieved it very quickly. There was, however, a lot more writing in it then I would have liked. But it is in good condition.
