A truly informational look at Modern Colloidal production

An informational and easy to read guide on basic through advanced colloidal production for the home or commercial lab user. Peterson's book covers all the known Ionic, low-voltage electrolysis methods. It also has entire chapters giving the student accurate information about the production of the elusive (and often secret) Nano particulate silver, copper, zinc and gold using advanced high voltage techniques Peterson has discovered and licensed to Pride Scientific Labs.

The book shows the beginning and the advanced colloidal producer how to effectively recreate all industry standard colloidal minerals used as nutritional health supplements. The book has a full safety section and primes any lab tech with the knowledge to effectively re-produce much better colloidal solutions for home use or even the medical field.
The book instructs the student on proper commercialization and informs the reader about current FDA, DSHEA and EPA regulations regarding the production, use and sale of said colloidal solutions.

The book includes full illustrations, charts, graphs and pictures of actual colloidal liquid production methods. Peterson's company; Pride Scientific Labs provided me with all my materials to begin my own advanced colloidal production method here in my small lab. The book is published by Amazon Publishing and from what I have been told by the author, they have the ability to add pages, change and alter outdated experiments every quarter if they need to. This makes the latest version of this book, the freshest information available to the colloidal producers all around the world.

Unfortunately a lot of sentences are incomplete, looks like a formatting error of some sort. Missing words, missing sentences.

Sir Richard Owen (1804-1892), comparative anatomist, colleague and later antagonist of Darwin, and head of the British Museum (Natural History), was a major figure in Victorian science, and one of the least well known. However, his contemporaries--Darwin, Lyell, Grant, Huxley, and others--certainly knew his ideas and agreed or argued with him while developing their own views.

Now, for the first time, modern readers may consult the single sustained exposition of his views that Owen ever provided: his Hunterian Lectures. Phillip Reid Sloan has transcribed and edited the seven surviving lectures and has written an introduction and commentary that situate this work in the context of Owen's life and the scientific life of the time. The lectures survey some of the history of comparative anatomy since Aristotle and draw on work by some of Owen's contemporaries. Their chief value, however, lies in Owen's elucidation of his own view on the relationships among various groups of living things.

OWEN'S EARLY LECTURES, PRESENTING SOME OF HIS IDEAS WHICH HE LATER GREATLY EXPANDED

Richard Owen (1804-1892) was an English biologist, anatomist and paleontologist, nowadays most known for his coining of the word "Dinosauria" ("Terrible Reptile") as well as his opposition to Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection. However, his work in paleontology was an important step in convincing many in the 19th century that "change" had indeed taken place in biological earth history. He also wrote Paleontology or a Systematic Summary of Extinct Animals and Their Geological Relations.

This book contains the opening series of Owen's 1937 lectures, in which he set out the larger framework of the theoretical reflections that occupied him during the next nineteen years. They were given two months before Darwin began his first notebook on the species question.

He praises Aristotle in the first lecture: "It is wonderful, considering that the Nervous System, the true key to the primary divisions of the Animal Kingdom was wholly unknown to Aristotle, that he should have approximated so nearly in propounding these Classes, to our modern Systems. For his arrangement, though not irreproachable, is more accordant with Nature than that of Linnaeus.” (Pg. 95)

He observes, “Besides the application of Comparative Anatomy to the discovery of the uses of parts, the numerous and striking instances it affords of the adaptation of means to an end in the different organs, and of their relations of coexistence, had not escaped the notice of some enlightened Philosophers thus early engaged in the investigation of the Structure of Animals.” (Pg. 155)

But he wonders, “But what is really gained by propositions such as we have adduced? Or by stating that all animal organization is reducible to one primitive form or plan? What would be thought of the Geometrician, who, because all figures are modifications of the simple mathematical line, should gravely advocate their unity of composition, and put forth the observation as one of high philosophical importance?... The general laws of Animal Organization can never be developed from a consideration of the perfect or matured structure alone: and such WAS the general character of the knowledge from which Cuvier deduced his inferences.” (Pg. 191)

He points out, “Thus we have seen that Animals and vegetables not only differ from common matter in their active properties … but also in their general physical qualities and constitution. The form of the organized Being is determinate, and its outline rounded or undulating; its size is limited; its duration of temporary.” (Pg. 232)

He notes, “It has been objected that a nervous system has not been detected in all animals—but as in every Species in which nerves have been indubitably detected, sensation has been found to depend exclusively on them, we are hence led to assume that all animals in which Sensation is observable, must have it depending on a nervous system.” (Pg. 254-255)

This is a book that should be read by every American.

My husband and I have a huge appreciation for Lynne Meredith's work. We filed an amended tax return for a 100% refund which the IRS called 'frivolus'. We used the infomation in you book to refute their erroneous response. We then received a 100% refund in just 14 days. Lynne has taken the fear out of the IRS! Kathleen Prosa

Everything she says is true and works.

While her books may be factual with the law and make perfectly good sense to a person who isn't a lawyer, I am here to affirm that you are putting your head in the lions mouth when you mess with mother IRS. I am under the sad conclusion that the courts who don't want to upset the apple cart and lawyers who are trying to figure out how to make tax advantages work for them, don't care about what the original law was. It seems gone are the legal heros unless there are big bucks in it for them. Gone is the Constitution unless you have deep enough pockets to challenge the law, which means getting past the small fry and making your way into the highest courts with good caring lawyers.
Miss Meredith is in court now and they've all but put a stop to her organizaiton while she claims victory is close at hand. You will never get any legal advice from her or her staff so unless you know what you're doing, you'll be on an island by yourself. I've only run across one guy, a paralegal who has a great website and who has won some battles but not on the grounds which Ms Merredith promotes. I've followed her tactics and gotten them off my rear but alas tax liens on your credit report don't look very inviting to creditors so they can cramp your financial spending habits but if that's all the Federal Mafia can do to ya...well no big deal. They pick their fights and if they can make some money or get all of yours, you're in deep trouble. I don't think you should fear them but don't put your head in the lions mouth unless you just like bad breath. Peace...JY

This book was recommended by a friend who had used the information to reduce his income tax to zero. We were a bit skeptical at first, but followed Lynne's suggestions step by step and low and behold, we are now tax free! The information contained in this book is invaluable to anyone wanting to really understand why our tax system is voluntary, and what you can do to unvolunteer. As far as we are concerned, Lynne Meredith's information shines a beacon of truth on the tactics used by the IRS and turns the entire agency into nothing more than a toothless old dog with a pathetic little bark. After all, it's your money, and Lynne's book will show you how to keep every dime of it. It certainly has worked for us!

Not All That Insightful

After having read this book and taken the test I felt that it was a very underwhelming experience. The test was short and after getting the results I was questioning the accuracy and effectiveness of the test. After receiving the results the descriptions of each personality type is a bit vauge and uninsightful. The Myers-Briggs psychology test, which you can take for free online, is much more insightful and useful. Don't waste your money on this book.

In short, I liked the book. I took the test, found out I was an Innovator and found out who my antithesis is. All that being said, the iDISC is explained in laymen terms and makes a lot of sense. For those of us who are familiar and have used MBTI, this is along those lines and makes perfect sense.

In 1885, Thomas Edison, age thirty-nine and already a world-famous inventor, met the two great loves of his life: Mina Miller and Fort Myers, Florida. Mina soon became his second wife, and Fort Myers―a remote, almost inaccessible, village on Florida's southwest coast―became their winter home.

The Edisons became an essential part of the Fort Myers story. They made lifelong friendships with townsfolk and joined in local activities until the love affair of the Edisons was cut short by the death of Thomas in 1931. Mina continued to live out her love for Fort Myers and its people until her death in 1947. She gave their winter estate, Seminole Lodge (Thomas' "jungle"), to the grateful citizens of Fort Myers.

Great read

I have always enjoyed the rich history of the great state of Florida. Mr. Smoot captures a wealth of this rich history in his book about Thomas Edison and his time spent in, and getting to, Fort Myers, FL. In carefully crafted detail he gives a sense of what Florida was like at the turn of the century and of the colorful characters who lived here. He also provides a wealth of detail regarding Thomas Edison and his second wife Mina. This book is packed with interesting excerpts from the Edisons' personal letters, diary entries and archives from the Edison Estate. If you enjoy Florida history and want to learn about the private life of one the great figures of American invention you will love this book.

Right on target

Any student of Edison ought to read this well-researched and carefully detailed description of his days in Fort Myers. This book, drawn from exacting investigation by a lawyer who grew up near Edison's home, is full of minute details that bring Edison alive in a new way. It shows his leisure time activities, and is particularly interesting in describing his inter-action with the 'locals' in this then-remote location. It's a perfect book to read if you plan to visit the Edison-Fort Winter Estates in Fort Myers.

Intriguing Account of Thomas Edison in Florida

Great volume, combining the most desirable aspects of a non-fiction account of Life Magazine's "Man of the Millenium," with the precise information normally found only in a credible academic research volume. This book brings an important segment of history alive, in an interesting, unique and intriguing way. Excellent book!
