This book might be useful as a reference, or perhaps in tandem with TI's course (I believe the videos are freely available). I suppose I was hoping for something a bit more practical, since it was from TI, and related to a course they did. However, it is mostly just a condensed version of your typical control systems book. If you already have such a book, I can't imagine this would be too helpful. Still, the price is good, so I can't complain. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could.

Excellent starting point for learning State Space and Modern Control Theory

Clearly written without sacrificing the depth of material. I used this book as a stepping stone to understand more complex material. Great explanations of observers and robust control. Well worth the cost of the book.
